This Privacy Policy explains how Iterative ("we," "us," "our") handles information for the CarDex mobile application (the "App"), which lets you scan and collect cars as digital cards.

1.1 Account Information

You sign in using Google or Apple authentication. When you do, we receive basic account information from those providers, such as your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

1.2 Photos You Upload

• Car photos: When you scan or add a car, we store the photos you upload so we can generate and display your collected cards.
• Associated card data: Information tied to your cards, such as the cars you have collected, is stored as part of your account.

1.3 Information You Voluntarily Provide

If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and support details).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect only to operate and support CarDex, including to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account.
• Store and display the cars and photos in your collection.
• Respond to support requests you send us.
• Maintain app reliability and security.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App (such as authentication and cloud storage providers), and only as needed to provide those services.

We may also share limited data when necessary to comply with law, enforce legal rights, or process support requests at your direction.

4. Data Retention

• Account information: Retained while your account is active.
• Uploaded photos and card data: Retained while your account is active so we can display your collection.
• Support communications: Retained only as needed to address your request and for reasonable business/legal recordkeeping.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Permissions Used by the App

• Camera / Photos: Used to scan and upload photos of cars for your collection.
• Notifications: Used for app reminders and collection-related notifications.

6. Children's Privacy

CarDex is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we handle. No method of storage or transmission is fully secure, but we work to protect your account and uploaded content.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information (such as access, deletion, or correction). You can contact us to make a request.
